I occasionally run competitions that involve posting projects so you don't want to miss out on potential prizes! Whether it’s just a few ambient movements like clouds scrolling past or rain coming down, or a character blinking, giving your image a little bit of life goes a long way. The sky is the limit if you're feeling ambitious, but keeping it simple is fine too. Keep it very simple if you’re new to After Effects animation, for example I’m going to just do a couple moves on the hands and a blink, just to give it a bit of life.Īssignment 7 - Use all the tips and techniques we’ve been through so far to get your illustration boiling in After Effects as though it had been hand made.Īssignment 8 - The final assignment is to finish off your animation, get something moving in your setup. Think about what you want to animate in scene what you want it to do. Think about everything we have gone through so far. This should be possible with the right texture, the right colour and the right scale and border size of roughen edges.Īssignment 5 - M atch a filled colour area of your illustration using the method outlined in Lesson 12, applying your boiling texture and refining it to get it feeling good.Īssignment 6 - Using the method outlined in Lesson 13 add a big wobble to your composition! After that no is the time to be starting to build your entire illustration in after effects. This class will be great for both hand drawn animators needing to add some extra elements to their main work, or for after effects animators to work along side your traditional colleagues Whether that’s because it needs to sit beside actual drawn animation or because there’s no time to do it ‘properly’, either way it’s super useful to know how to get an effective drawn effect.
